How do I donate to the ANZAC and/or Poppy Appeal?

How do I volunteer to assist with the ANZAC Appeal and/or Poppy Appeal?

We are always looking for new volunteers. Simply call the Appeals Team in your state or territory, or visit your local RSL Sub-Branch 

Where does the money raised go?

The RSL assists current and former serving members of the Australian and/or Allied Defence Forces and their dependents who find themselves in difficult circumstances with practical or financial support. Some of areas financial assistance is provided include:

  • Grocery shopping
  • Outstanding household bills
  • Medical and hospital expenses
  • The provision of mobile aids such as wheelchairs, scooters and walking frames
  • Household repairs and maintenance
  • Funeral costs

Where can I buy an ANZAC badge or a Poppy?

  • From any RSL Sub-Branch or a Collector in your community in April (ANZAC badges) or November (for Poppies)
  • From ANZAC House, 4-6 Collins St, Melbourne year-round
  • At the MCG on ANZAC Day for ANZAC badges
  • On Melbourne CBD selling day which is usually in the week leading up to ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day
  • Or simply donate to the Appeals via this website.

Who is eligible for assistance?

Any current or former member of the Australian and/or Allied Defence Forces or their dependants in need qualify for assistance.

No, any current or former member of the Australian and/or Allied Defence Forces or their dependants in need qualify for assistance.

Is my donation tax deductible?

All donations over $2 are tax deductible in Australia.
